Virtual STEM Lab
Explore ideas. Test understanding.
Support science, technology, engineering and mathematics learning through interactive simulations, virtual experiments and guided exploration.
Explore participation ↗
What this programme brings together
- Curriculum-aligned simulations and guided experiment activities
- Teacher guidance, learner worksheets and reflection tasks
- Accessible, device-appropriate activities with low-bandwidth options where available
Prepare for useful learning
Map activities to learning objectives, review scientific accuracy and check device and connectivity requirements. Prepare educators to guide exploration, discuss results and assess understanding.
Availability, licensing, support and costs are agreed with participating institutions before activation.
How it fits within SENI
Virtual experiments complement physical practical work and supervised school laboratories. They do not replace hands-on skills, required practical assessments or laboratory safety training.
Partnership opportunities
STEM educators, universities, simulation developers, science organisations and funders can contribute reviewed activities, licences, teacher development and access support.
Prepare a partnership enquiry ↗Intended outcomes and review
Learners apply STEM concepts, investigate questions and explain results through guided activities.
Proposed evidence: Participation, completed investigations, teacher feedback and demonstrated conceptual understanding.
These are intended outcomes, not claims of completed delivery.
